Attached to the 97th Infantry Division During Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns-WWII
Reorganized and Redesignated as 717Th Heavy Tank Battalion-April 6th 1948

Hello and welcome aboard...My father was in the 717th and served in combat in WW II. Like many men he came back home and lived his life as normal as possible. My father passed away this past year and when he died so did his story...
TELL YOUR STORY
History is an important part of life...you helped make that history. THIS IS YOUR STORY.. Let the world know just how important what you did was by telling how it REALLY was "OVER THERE".

POST PICTURES

While words are the backbone of any story, pictures add volumes to it. Im working on software that will allow you to post pictures from your computer, but at the moment the only way to post is to send them to me by either regular mail or email. Any picture sent regular mail will be returned if a note requesting that it be returned is sent along with it. Send as many pictures as you like to be put on the site...but please make sure that they are suitable for younger people to see.
